When To Buy a Dog as a Pet?

Always wanted to have what they call a man’s best friend?  Well, before you go ahead take a moment and think from your friend’s perspective. What delights him comes to a later stage; what he needs is the basic question. Buying a dog in no case should be an impulsive thing; it is rather a life time decision. It is going to change the way you live. It is start of a long term commitment; do you know a dog’s average age reaches to 12 years!!!??? Below are the list of commitments that you should do for your new bestfriend:

1.Financial Constraints:

The first thing that should ask yourself is if you have the money to take care of such a pet . It is not to say the cost of buying the dog; that is just the cost you paid to have its possession. What about the money you will have to spend on dog food and the medical care? Dogs need personal love and care just as humans do. They are also prone to diseases just like most of us. All this means a share from your financial budget. Do you have the enough financial resources that is required for a pet dog ? If yes, only then you need to think about the next item of dog buying checklist!

2.Time:

To be able to develop a special bond between you and your dog, you need to spend more time with it and create a special connection between the two of you . Just like little kids, dogs also need some special attention and guidance from its owner . Going outside for a walk and enjoying a quality time with you is something every dog needs; if not daily then three or four times a week. What you should ask yourself is how much time of the day you have on your discretion? What is your lifestyle and if you are an adventurous kind of guy who loves to hang around and never misses a chance to fly away in search of new destinations, think who is going to look after your best buddy that time?

3.Care:

Little puppies need extra love and care compared to older ones . They need to be bathed, to play with them and to take them for regular medical checkups. To surprise you a bit more they also face teething problems like human kids. Like kids they also nourish in a peaceful and loving environment and they are also terrified by the tension in the air. Are you capable enough to provide the appropriate love and affection that your new pet dog need ?

What breed?

It is very important to evaluate your preference well enough in deciding which breed of dog should you purchase . Though it is a matter of personal choice and there are quite many breeds of dogs yet there are some yardsticks that you should consider before making a choice. Do you know some species of dogs are more loving and some more aggressive? Different dogs have different temperament and you should buy one that suits and matches with the temperament of your family. The available space at your house is also an important factor in deciding which breed to acquire . Do you have enough space to accommodate a large size dog? Have enough time to look after the young one if you are planning to buy a puppy? Buying a dog is not a mundane decision, it is a huge responsibility and once you do your duty the rewards are phenomenal!

If you are finally decided to have your very own pet dog, it is now time to go to the pet shop. But aside from pet shops, you can also visit several online websites that have dogs for sale. If you reside in London, it is exciting to know that there are plenty of London puppies for sale. So have fun and choose wisely!

Have you ever wondered about the old saying, I feel like I am treated like a dog?
Well, let me tell you how my dog is treated..

My dog Lulu, aka: her highness, very cute Lasha APSO, and her soulmate JOJO, a Shitzu, queen and king, and goddess and God, go to sleep in king size bed that they rules, on their own pillow,( used to be mine) getting massaged by their live in full time always on call massage therapist, me. The bed is located in house where they pays no rent, electricity or water, and all their meals are provided and brought to them. All food must be to their liking or you get “snubbed”, where you are required to figure out by GUESSING, what the highness might like to eat. They have a full time Chauffeur, taking them all over the city while they lazily watch all things from there special “window seat”. They have there own recreation specialist to provide them with games of (catch the ball and various other games), all designed especially for their amusement and pleasure. When the games are over and they get tired, they are rocked to sleep in “their” rocking chair, while getting their muscles relaxed by the afore mentioned massage therapist, all the while awaiting dinner.
I am at least happy I am allowed to sit down, in THEIR chair. In order for the absolute truth to be told, They do have their bad days, known as “Bath Day”., this is where they must endure the indignity of standing still, while someone “me” washes every inch of their body , to make sure they have no aliens to whom might dare intrude upon their body. Bath day are of course not without some redeeming qualities, they do know how to shake at just the right moment to drench me as well, a sport they are quite fond of. The amazing part is they can drench me and look all so innocent at the same time. Did I forget to mention they will at least dry themselves,,( usually before I can get the required towel and their body to come together) on the aforementioned pillow, chair, my clothes, and anything that happens to pass them as they are making the rounds.

So to all my friends to whom life has kicked, beat, knocked, and generally let them down, May I wish you always to be “Treated like a dog…” I am tired and time for bed..so I kiss Lulu and Jojo goodnight, on their forehead, and if I am quick enough I can avoid the tongue up my nose..good night all
