Getting a Dog

There are many people in this world who love pets.  I am unquestionably one of those people.  I grew up having pets of every kind.  However , my favorite pet is a dog.  I had a couple of them growing up and my parents have two of them now.  My husband doesn’t like pets though, so we don’t have any unfortunately.  I just have to enjoy other people’s pets, especially their dogs .

I guess there are a lot of factors you have to consider if you want to get a dog.  Not only do you have to pay for the initial cost of the dog, but you also have to pay to get shots for it and to get it spade or neutered.  You have to pay for their dog food, which a lot of people now pay for the more expensive kind of food.  There are always the vet bills that you will have to pay on random days , so that’s not fun.  Making sure they have their pet flea medicine is another chore. You have to clean up their waste and get them toys that they end up destroying. Those are all the cons though, so let’s talk about the positives of having or getting a dog.

There are a lot of great factors about having a dog.  To me, all of the negatives of getting a dog don’t mean a thing when compared to the pros .  They are a steady companion and ally.  They are always there for you no matter what.  They are so much fun to play with and have around.  They love to snuggle, which is definitely my favorite part about dogs .  They are always so happy and that just makes you even more happy .  Not to mention that they are each so cute and have their own personalities.  Perhaps one day I’ll be able to talk my husband into getting a dog.  Until then , I’ll just enjoy my friends and family’s dogs and pets.
